Welcome to Longacre Guesthouse

From our garden witness one of the best views in South Africa with breathtaking and dramatic settings over the majestic valleys and hills created by the Mngeni River and its tributaries.

Wild Fig Porch AreaAs you look toward the 960 metre high “Table Mountain”-emKhambathini-Place of the Giraffe Acacia Trees you will be able to feel the ethnic earthiness of our Valley that belies the blood-soaked drama that unfolded almost 2 centuries ago with the arrival of King Shakas unstoppable regiments who set about subjugating the Thousand Hills’ Debe clansfolk.

In winter view the lofty Drakensberg peaks, nearly 200 kilometres away often coated with thick snow or simply enjoy the stunning sun streaked peaks of the hills rising up above the thick early morning clouds as though you were in the Himalayas.

Read a book or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery in our gardenThere is no better place to “chill” with an ice cold beer, glass of wine or a fine roasted cup of coffee than in our beautiful garden with large pool and private braai area.

Most of all we hope to provide good old-fashioned hospitality from your hosts, David and Sarah Proctor.
